Our toner cartridges exploded the other day. Accidents should always be this beautiful.

That is a gorgeous accident, and a beautiful shot. Great work, mate!

feaverish on 26.08.2008

Really great.

jplpagan on 26.08.2008

Excellent!

minxlj on 18.09.2008

gorgeous :-) I saw a magenta toner bucket (it was for a huge Sherpa-type printer) tip open all over the floor at a newspaper I worked for, and the floor carpet was such a beautiful shade after that!

Dude, this is such an awesome shot! I’m an admin for a group called This is now and would love for you to join. Pretty please with a cherry on top?

timmycorkery on 18.09.2008

Boinged. Also, that’s really beautiful.

Absolutely Beautiful.

OldhaMedia on 18.09.2008

I caught one of those, too!

Obsolete

JUST!N on 18.09.2008

Dont touch it or breath it.  It looks beautiful but it will kill you.

danvesma on 18.09.2008

oh that is super pretty

solracarevir on 18.09.2008

I love when cartridges explode

Sean Robertson on 18.09.2008

That’d make a great print (no pun intended).

mazedlx on 18.09.2008

the most beautiful photo ever since cartridges tend to explode!

StillAHulaGirl on 18.09.2008

It IS beautiful!  And don’t worry folks, it WON’T kill you.  I’m a service dispatcher for a copier company and send out the MSDS (material safety data sheet) info on these things all day long.  Techs have told me that breathing it in will only make tissues tie-dyed when they blow their nose!  Although they don’t recommend this as a recreational sport!  Just don’t apply water or heat to it - then it’s permanently beautiful!  lol.

!qwerty! on 18.09.2008

very cool!

Makenosound on 19.09.2008

@StillAHulaGirl: Nice to know it won’t kill us — we still have the printer in question in our office (and it’s starting to play up again) so there may be accidental beauty to follow.

pienepoen on 19.09.2008

The CMYK-y goodness.

Makenosound on 23.10.2008

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone.

I’ve made this photograph

available to order as cards/prints/etc through RedBubble so if you’re interested head over there and check out the pricing. I haven’t tried RedBubble before but I’ve ordered myself a canvas print of this photograph to check the quality — if it’s not up to snuff I’ll take it down. Anyone have any experience with RedBubble at all?

la renata on 28.11.2008

Hello, I was wondering if I could use your photograph for a flyer I’m designing. It’s for a brand of remanufactured toner cartridges.
